Anchor Handling Instructor:

Job Description
Maersk Training, a global leading learning provider to the maritime and offshore industries, requires an ambitious, international and dynamic training instructor to join the maritime department. The ability, or potential and willingness, to pass on experience is the fundamental quality being sought after.

The focus will be on developing and conducting courses in all subjects related to maritime and offshore fields. The successful candidates will be part of our innovative departments constantly working with the development and execution of training on new state-of-the-art simulators in accordance with the requirements of the industry.

For the right person there will be considerable potential in this exciting and challenging job in an international environment. You do not need to be an experienced trainer as we will coach you in developing the necessary pedagogical and presentational skills. It is a demanding role and in recognition of this we offer attractive conditions.
CV MUST BE IN ENGLISH

Desired Skills & Experience
  • Preferably holding a Master Mariner Certificate
  • Shipboard and underway operations to include  Dynamic Positioning Operations
  • MUST HAVE experience with Anchor Handling Operations
  • Must possess excellent communication, written and oral skills; superior relationship and interpersonal skills
  • Must be a team player with a high degree of self-motivation and ability to work independently with a high sense of urgency
  • Experience with simulation is and advantage
  • Fluent in English
  • Fluent in Portuguese
  • Microsoft Office Program skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Drilling Instructor:

The focus will be on developing and conducting courses within exploration drilling for our key oil and gas clients. The successful candidates will be part of our innovative departments constantly working with the development and execution of training on new state-of-the-art simulators in accordance with the requirements of the industry.

You do not need to be an experienced trainer as we will coach you in developing the necessary pedagogical and presentational skills. It is a demanding role and in recognition of this we offer attractive conditions.

  • Course and product development
  • Development of customer specific training activities
  • Taking part in projects
Educational and occupational profile
  • Preferable Drilling Engineering background
  • PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE IN DRILLING FOR OIL & GAS ONSHORE OR OFFSHORE IN SUPERVISORY POSITION
  • Preferable high pressure and high temperature drilling experience
  • Desirable experience in deep water drilling
  • Valid IWCF Well Control Sub Sea Supervisor Level Certificate or any comparable certification
  • Mathematical skills and basic education sufficient to match instructor challenges Experience in acting with multi-cultural groups
  • Be fluent in English, both written and verbal
